We know billing questions are stressful — here's exactly how cancellation works, what it means for your account, and how to do it in a few steps.
Canceling a UVettd subscription is straightforward and takes effect at the end of your current billing period — not immediately. Your access continues in full until your paid period expires.
How to Cancel (Web or App)
- Open UVettd and go to Account.
- Tap or click Billing.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and confirm.
You'll receive a confirmation email once cancellation is processed. Keep this email — it confirms the date your paid access will end.
Important: App Store Subscribers
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through your device's App Store settings — not through UVettd. Canceling inside the UVettd app will not stop an App Store subscription. Go to your device's subscription management settings and cancel from there.
When Cancellation Takes Effect
Cancellation is not immediate. Your paid access continues until the end of your current billing period. If you're on a monthly plan and you cancel on the 10th, you keep full access until your next billing date. On an annual plan, your access continues until the end of the year you've paid for.
Annual Subscriptions and Refunds
Canceling an annual subscription stops your plan from renewing at the end of the year — you will not be charged again. However, there is no pro-rata or mid-period refund for annual plans after the 7-day guarantee window has passed. If you're within 7 days of your original purchase, see our 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee article.
What Happens to Your Account After Cancellation
When your paid period ends, your account automatically downgrades to the Curious (free) tier. You won't lose any of your data. Your evaluations, CAMERA Method™ scores, and UVettd Compass results are all preserved. At the free tier, 2 prospects remain fully viewable and any additional prospects are archived — they're not deleted, just not actively displayed until you resubscribe.
How to Reactivate
You can resubscribe to Intentional or Devoted at any time. When you do, your archived data becomes fully accessible again immediately — right where you left off. Go to Account → Billing → Choose a Plan to restart.
Common questions about this topic
- Will I lose my evaluations if I cancel?
- No. All your evaluations, CAMERA Method™ results, and UVettd Compass data are preserved indefinitely. When your account downgrades to the Curious tier, 2 prospects remain viewable and the rest are archived. Nothing is deleted.
- Can I reactivate after canceling?
- Yes, anytime. Just go to Account → Billing → Choose a Plan and select Intentional or Devoted. Your archived data becomes accessible again the moment your new subscription starts.
- If I cancel today, when does it take effect?
- Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — not today. You keep full paid access until that date. The confirmation email you receive will show the exact end date.
- I subscribed through the App Store — how do I cancel?
- You must cancel through your device's App Store subscription settings (not through UVettd). On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Subscriptions. Canceling inside the UVettd app will not stop an App Store charge.
- If I cancel an annual plan, do I get a refund for the unused months?
- Only if you're within the 7-day guarantee window from your original purchase. After that, annual plans do not have pro-rata refunds. Your access continues until the end of your paid year.
