You and your partner are ready to bring the same intentional practice you've built individually into your relationship together. Chosen: For Couples extends the intentional dating mindset into a committed partnership — giving you a shared space to check in, notice patterns, and grow alongside each other with honesty and warmth.
What Chosen Is
Chosen is a relationship check-in layer built on top of your existing UVettd practice. Where the singles experience helps you understand yourself and who you're looking for, Chosen helps you and your partner stay aligned over time. It's a weekly or monthly rhythm — not a monitor, not a report card — just a structured way to stay close to what matters.
Both partners keep their own separate UVettd accounts. Chosen links those two accounts together into a shared relationship space. Your individual data remains yours; the connection is what becomes shared.
Setting Up Chosen
- The first partner opens the app and navigates to Account → Chosen → Invite Partner.
- Enter your partner's email address and send the invitation.
- Your partner receives an email with a secure link. They tap it, sign in to their UVettd account (or create one), and accept the invitation.
- Once accepted, both partners are linked. The Chosen tab becomes active for both of you.
If your partner doesn't already have a UVettd account, they'll be prompted to create one when they follow the invite link. Chosen requires two separate accounts — it's designed so each partner has their own space.
Before Your First Check-In
Before your first Chosen check-in, both partners should complete the UVettd Compass independently. The Compass captures your core values, priorities, and what matters most to you in a relationship. Neither partner sees the other's individual answers.
Once both partners have completed their Compass, Chosen generates your Shared Alignment overview — a look at the values you hold in common and the areas where you naturally differ. This becomes the foundation your check-ins build on over time.
Choosing Your Check-In Cadence
You and your partner choose the rhythm that fits your life. Weekly check-ins surface on Sundays. Monthly check-ins surface on the 1st of each month. Either partner can propose a cadence change from the Chosen settings at any time — both partners confirm the change before it takes effect.
There's no right or wrong cadence. Some couples find a weekly rhythm keeps them close; others find monthly works better with their schedule. You can always adjust.
Common questions about this topic
- Does my partner need a separate UVettd account?
- Yes. Chosen links two separate accounts together. Each partner needs their own account so that individual entries, coaching chats, and personal data always stay private to the person who created them. If your partner doesn't have an account, the invite email will walk them through creating one.
- Do we both have to be on the same subscription tier?
- No. Chosen works as long as both partners have active UVettd accounts. You don't need to be on matching subscription tiers. However, some features within Chosen — like extended check-in history and CAMERA Method™ trend tracking — may depend on your individual tier.
- What if we want to start on different devices?
- That's completely fine. The invitation link works on any device. One partner can send from a phone and the other can accept on a desktop. Once the accounts are linked, Chosen syncs across both partners' devices automatically.
- What if my partner doesn't complete their Compass before we try to do a check-in?
- Your first check-in will be available, but the Shared Alignment overview won't generate until both partners have completed the Compass. You'll each see a prompt in the Chosen tab reminding you what's pending.
- Can we unlink our accounts if we change our minds?
- Yes. Either partner can initiate an unlink from Account → Chosen → Settings. Both partners receive a notification when an unlink is requested. Unlinking removes the shared Chosen space but does not delete either partner's individual UVettd account or history.
